PLANO, Texas, June 4 (UPI) -- Television actor Chace Crawford was arrested in a Texas bar parking lot early Friday and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, police said.

Crawford, 24, is best known for his work on the drama series "Gossip Girl."

People.com said the actor was arrested after police allegedly found a single marijuana joint inside the car in which he was sitting.

His representatives have not returned calls seeking comment on the incident, the Web site said.
