Tina Fey to receive Mark Twain Prize

WASHINGTON, May 25 (UPI) -- The Kennedy Center in Washington says it plans to present writer-actress Tina Fey with the 2010 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

The "30 Rock" star and "Saturday Night Live" alum is to receive the 13th annual award Nov. 9 at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

The ceremony will feature a lineup of the biggest names in comedy and will be taped for television broadcast, The Kennedy Center said Tuesday.

Fey, who has also appeared in the films "The Invention of Lying" and "Date Night," is working on a humorous memoir for Little Brown and Company for publication in 2011. She lives in New York with her husband, Jeff Richmond, and their daughter.

Past winners of the Mark Twain Prize include Richard Pryor, Whoopi Goldberg, Bob Newhart, Lily Tomlin, Steve Martin, Neil Simon, Billy Crystal, George Carlin and Bill Cosby.
