MIAMI, May 25 (UPI) -- U.S. singer and reality television personality Mindy McCready has been hospitalized in Florida for an undisclosed illness, E! News reported Tuesday.

The recording artist and former "Celebrity Rehab" star has been in the spotlight more in recent years for her legal woes and battles with drug addiction than for her professional accomplishments.

"We have no information or confirmation of the official medical diagnosis at this time," McCready's representative, Kat Atwood, told E! News. "More information will be released as it is available."

Cape Coral Hospital spokeswoman Karen Krieger did not disclose why McCready was admitted to the emergency room but said the singer is listed in good condition.
