LOS ANGELES, May 12 (UPI) -- NBC says it has green-lit a new romantic comedy called "Perfect Couples" for the 2010-11 U.S. television season.
The announcement was made Wednesday by Angela Bromstad, president of prime-time entertainment at NBC and Universal Media Studios.
"Perfect Couples" joins previously announced "Chase," "Undercovers," "The Event," "Love Bites" and "Outsourced" as the sixth new scripted series unveiled for NBC's upcoming season.
Jon Pollack and Scott Silveri "are hugely talented writer-producers and they've really delivered with 'Perfect Couples,'" Bromstad said in a statement. "The comedy includes a cast of three distinctive couples who share the same issues and will draw viewers in with their relatable stories."
The show stars Kyle Howard, Christine Woods, Dave Walton, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Hayes MacArthur and Olivia Munn.
