Production to begin on 'Hot in Cleveland'

NEW YORK, May 6 (UPI) -- Production is set to begin on the new U.S. sitcom "Hot in Cleveland," which is to premiere next month, TV Land said Friday.

Starring Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White, TV Land's first original sitcom is to go into production Monday.

The 10-episode series is to premiere June 16 on TV Land.

The show is described as being about "three fabulous best friends from Los Angeles -- novelist Melanie Moretti, eye-brow archer to the stars Joy Scroggs and former soap star Victoria Chase -- who find their lives changed forever when their plane, headed for Paris, makes an unexpected landing. When the friends discover that they are hot in Cleveland, they decide to stay. Starting over, they rent a house that happens to come with a very feisty caretaker."
