WASHINGTON, May 6 (UPI) -- The National Osteoporosis Foundation says it plans to honor Academy Award-winning actress Cloris Leachman at an upcoming ceremony in Washington.

The 84-year-old former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant will be recognized for "living strong with osteoporosis," organizers said.

She is to be honored at the Silhouette Awards Dinner May 19 at the Ritz-Carlton.

Other honorees include congressional champion for NOF, Sen. Blanche L. Lincoln; Dr. Lawrence G. Raisz of the University of Connecticut Center for Osteoporosis; and Rolanette and Berdon Lawrence, who created their namesake Bone Disease Program of Texas.
