HOLLYWOOD, May 4 (UPI) -- Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus' star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was misspelled hours before it was unveiled at a ceremony Tuesday.

Louis-Dreyfus is best known for her work on TV's "Seinfeld" and "The New Adventures of Old Christine."

Producer David Daniel said on CNN's The Marquee Blog the star that was set into cement honoring her mistakenly had her name spelled "Julia Luis Dreyfus."

"I snapped a pic with my BlackBerry, then hustled to work and called Ana Martinez, the press rep for the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 'Are you sure?' she gasped, and then, understandably, she hurried off the phone," Daniel wrote on the blog.

"Access Hollywood" said workers then printed up the corrected spelling and replaced the misspelled portion on the star.

The comedienne reportedly wasn't at all upset by the typo, however.

"It turns out Louis-Dreyfus thought the mistake was hysterical, and wanted them to leave it, but they'd already chiseled out the 'Luis' and put a temporary 'Louis-' in its place for the unveiling," Daniel said. "They're going to give (the wrong one) to Julia as a memento."
