LOS ANGELES, May 1 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Jodie Sweetin, who starred in the TV comedy series "Full House," is expecting her second child and "is in a good place," her publicist says.

The 28-year-old actress, best known for her long-running role as Stephanie Tanner, is pregnant by her boyfriend of one year, Los Angeles DJ Marty Coyle, People.com reports.

Sweetin's representative, Stella Alex, told people, "They're happy," adding, the former child star "is in a good place."

In her 2009 book, "unSweetened," Sweetin wrote of the trials of being a child star. She said the book helped her kick her addictions to meth and alcohol.

Alex told People her client is "clean, clean, clean. She's looking forward to moving on with her life and she's just happy to be a mom."

Sweetin's divorce from her husband, Cody Herpin, was finalized this month, TMZ.com reported. The couple share custody of their daughter, Zoie, 2.
