LOS ANGELES, May 1 (UPI) -- Peter Lopez, the husband of "Dukes of Hazzard" star Catherine Bach, has been found dead at the couple's Encino, Calif., home, police sources said.

Lopez, who was the music attorney for the late Michael Jackson and also counted Andrea Bocelli and Michael Buble among his clients, was found dead on the lawn at the family home Friday, KTLA-TV, Los Angeles, reported.

KTLA quoted sources saying Bach called police and reported her husband had shot himself.

The couple married in 1990 and had two children. In 1998, they founded C.O.A.C.H. For Kids, which provides free medical services for low-income Los Angeles County children, KTLA said.

Bach's publicist released a statement to "Access Hollywood" saying: "The Lopez Family has suffered a tragic personal loss. Catherine and the girls ask for your prayers."

Bach is best known for role as Daisy Duke on TV's "Dukes of Hazzard."
