LOS ANGELES, April 19 (UPI) -- Celebrities Tom Hanks, Jay Leno and Paula Abdul were on hand when TV Land presented its eighth annual awards show in Los Angeles.

The TV Land Awards, handed out Saturday at the Sony Lot in Culver City, honored "Everybody Loves Raymond," "Charlie's Angels," "The Love Boat," "Bosom Buddies" and comedy veterans Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner.

"We've grown up with a lot of the shows that are being honored here tonight," Patricia Heaton -- one of the stars of "Everybody Loves Raymond" -- said. "And to be part of that, you really get a sense of being part of a continuum of television history, which is pretty overwhelming."

The ceremony featured an honor for "Glee" -- now in its second season on Fox -- which was presented with the Future Classic Award, USA Today reported.

Jaclyn Smith -- who co-starred with Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd and the late Farrah Fawcett and John Forsythe in "Charlie's Angels" -- said receiving a TV Land Awards was "bittersweet because we're missing a lot of members of our family."
