LOS ANGELES, April 19 (UPI) -- Celebrity chef Rocco Dispirito has agreed to guest star on an upcoming, food-themed episode of the U.S. mystery series "Castle," ABC announced Monday.

Dispirito's appearance is expected to air May 3.

"A high-profile chef is found frozen to death in the kitchen of a hot New York restaurant. Complications ensue when Castle and the restaurant owner, an old high-school girlfriend of Beckett's, share an attraction," the network said in a news release.

Dispirito is to play a fan of the dead chef and of novelist Richard Castle's books.

Nathan Fillion plays Castle and Stana Katic portrays New York police Detective Kate Beckett.
