NEW YORK, April 7 (UPI) -- Former reality TV personality Jon Gosselin has petitioned a Pennsylvania judge for primary custody of his eight children with his ex-wife, Kate, records show.
The divorced couple appeared together for five seasons on TLC's popular family program "Jon & Kate Plus 8." Kate Gosselin now competes on the dance competition series "Dancing with the Stars."
People.com said Jon Gosselin filed the papers Wednesday after describing his former spouse, who has primary custody of their children, as an "absentee parent" because she is in Los Angeles taping "Dancing" instead of at home with the kids in Pennsylvania.
Jon Gosselin also reportedly complained in the court documents that Kate has failed to document her child expenses in violation of a support agreement they reached through arbitration.
