New producers for Season 3 of 'Fringe'

LOS ANGELES, April 1 (UPI) -- Former "Brothers & Sisters" showrunners Monica Breen and Alison Schapker will be co-executive producers on "Fringe" next season, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The move will reunite the pair with J.J. Abrams, the writer-producer with whom they previously collaborated on "Alias" and "Lost," the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

Breen and Schapker served as showrunners on "Brothers" for Season 3 and part of season 4, but left their positions in November, leaving David Marshall Grant to take over the series.

The science-fiction series "Fringe" was recently renewed for a third season. It stars Joshua Jackson,

John Noble, Lance Reddick, Kirk Acevedo and Blair Brown.
