LOS ANGELES, March 22 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Christian Slater is set to star in and produce an as-yet-untitled television comedy pilot, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Slater, who appeared in the films "Heathers," "Pump up the Volume," "Untamed Hearts," "Bed of Roses" and "Broken Arrow," has most recently worked in television.

He starred in the short-lived drama "My Own Worst Enemy," which ran in the 2008-09 season, as well as the mystery series "The Forgotten," which was broadcast in 2009-10. He also had a recurring role on the sitcom "My Name is Earl."

The Hollywood Reporter said Trevor Moore is to co-star with Slater in Fox's comedy pilot about a team of geniuses who crack security systems.
