LOS ANGELES, March 19 (UPI) -- Michael Vartan's publicist says the French-born television star has gotten engaged to his girlfriend Lauren Skaar.
Vartan is best known for his work on TV's "Alias" and "Hawthorne." His film credits include "The Pallbearer," "Never Been Kissed" and "Monster-in-Law."
His representative told People.com exclusively that the actor proposed to Skaar about two weeks ago and they plan to marry next year.
They started dating last year, the Web site added.
Vartan previously dated actress Jennifer Garner.
