Ty Burrell and wife adopt baby girl

LOS ANGELES, March 18 (UPI) -- Ty Burrell's publicist Thursday confirmed the U.S. television actor and his wife, Holly, have adopted a baby girl.

The representative confirmed the adoption to TVGuide.com but said no other details about it would be released.

The child is the couple's first.

Burrell is one of the stars on the U.S. sitcom "Modern Family."
