NEW YORK, March 4 (UPI) -- U.S. comedian Robin Williams' "Weapons of Self Destruction" stand-up act is to be released on DVD, CD and vinyl, Columbia Records said.
The home-video format of the show is to hit stores March 30.
Taped during two nights at Washington's DAR Constitution Hall, "Weapons of Self Destruction" premiered on HBO in December and became the network's most successful stand-up comedy special of the year.
During the course of his tour, Williams performed 90 shows in 65 cities in front of 300,000 fans across the United States, as well as in London and Canada.
"With 'Weapons of Self Destruction' Williams covers such topics as global warming, sex and politics, the state of healthcare in the country -- suggesting a 'cash for clunkers' program for elderly relatives, among other things, -- drugs, recreational and otherwise, and more personal topics, including his recent heart surgery," Columbia said in a news release Wednesday. "DVD bonus features include clips from Robin's previous concerts -- some dating back to 1978 -- as well as highlights filmed all along the 2009 tour."
