'Miami Medical' to debut next month

LOS ANGELES, March 4 (UPI) -- U.S. network CBS says its new hospital drama "Miami Medical," starring Jeremy Northam and Mike Vogel, will premiere next month.

Co-starring Lana Parrilla, Elisabeth Harnois and Omar Gooding and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the show's pilot is to debut April 2.

The first episode will also feature a guest appearance by Andre Braugher, CBS said.

"The Alpha Team is aided by a new surgeon after the head of their unit goes AWOL and a restaurant explosion floods the halls of the hospital with victims on the series premiere," the network said in a news release Thursday.
