NEW YORK, March 2 (UPI) -- Australian entertainer Dame Edna Everage has been booked as a co-host of an upcoming episode of the U.S. chat show "The View," ABC announced.

Everage, who is played by comedian Barry Humphries, is also expected to perform a song from her new Broadway show, "All About Me: Starring Dame Edna and Michael Feinstein."

Feinstein is scheduled to make an appearance on the show, as well, ABC said.

The episode is to air March 25.

Dame Edna describes herself on her Web site as "probably the most popular and gifted woman in the world today, a housewife, investigative journalist, social anthropologist, talk-show host, swami, children's book illustrator, spin doctor, megastar and icon."
