LOS ANGELES, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Eric McCormack, Sherry Stringfield and Regina Taylor have signed up to star in the U.S. television movie "Who is Clark Rockefeller?," Lifetime said.

"Based on a true shocking story that continues to capture national media attention, the film explores the inconceivable life of a con artist who, for years, called himself Clark Rockefeller and claimed to be a member of the powerful Rockefeller family," the network said in a news release Tuesday.

The TV movie is to premiere March 13 on Lifetime Television.

McCormack is best known for his work on the TV comedy "Will & Grace." Stringfield was a longtime "ER" cast member and Taylor's small-screen credits include "The Unit."
