NEW YORK, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Spike TV has announced plans to air "Players," a new U.S. comedy series starring Matt Walsh and Ian Roberts.

Walsh, who also created the show, and Roberts are members of an improvisational comedy troupe, the Upright Citizens Brigade. Walsh has also appeared in the movies "The Hangover," "Old School," "Semi-Pro" and "Bad Santa."

Roberts' movie credits include "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," "Drillbit Taylor" and "Semi-Pro."

Their new half-hour show is about brothers with conflicting personalities trying to run a successful sports bar, Spike TV said Thursday in a release.

It is to debut March 2.
