HONOLULU, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Actors from the TV series "Lost" said thousands of the show's fans packed an event in Hawaii that featured an early airing of a new "Lost" episode.
Actor Michael Emerson, who plays Benjamin Linus on the ABC hit series, was one of the "Lost" stars among an estimated 12,000 fans who gathered Saturday in Honolulu to catch a glimpse of the series' final season, the Honolulu Advertiser said Sunday.
"Oh my God, this is crazy out here," Emerson said of the Waikíkí Beach gathering.
The new season of "Lost," which premiered in 2004, is scheduled to begin Tuesday and fans on hand Saturday were shown the first hour of the new season premiere.
Actor Jorge Garcia, who plays Hugo "Hurley" Reyes on the TV drama, said the show's final season will not disappoint.
"It's really kind of exciting now, how the stories are going to meld together," he told the Advertiser.
The Honolulu Star-Bulletin said also on hand for the Hawaii event were "Lost" stars Josh Holloway, Daniel Dae Kim, Matthew Fox and Harold Perrineau.
