LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Several songs by the iconic U.S. rock group The Doors will be featured exclusively throughout an upcoming episode of "Cold Case," CBS said.

The installment will include the songs "Light My Fire," "Waiting for the Sun," "Love Her Madly," "Wild Child," "Riders on the Storm," "Moonlight Drive" and "People Are Strange."

It is to air Feb. 21, the network said Thursday.

"Both (producer) Adam (Glass) and I are definitely Doors-heads," said series star Danny Pino, who co-wrote the episode with Glass. "There was really no other band in our minds as our story of a case involving a traveling circus in the '70s started to manifest itself. So, we're excited that 'Cold Case' was able to secure The Doors's music for this episode. Their haunting lyrics, mesmerizing melodies and a pulsating foreboding keyboard proved an ideal soundtrack to accompany murder in a 'one ring mud show.'"

Past single-artist episodes of "Cold Case" featured the music of Ray Charles, John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Tim McGraw, U2, Bob Dylan, Santana, Bob Seger and, in the two-part sixth season finale, Pearl Jam.
