LOS ANGELES, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Former child star Gary Coleman said he went to a Los Angeles hospital Wednesday because he suffered a seizure in his hotel room.

"No worse for wear," he assured TV's "Inside Edition." "Little weak on the left side, but you're going to have a little weakness coming out of seizure activity."

The 41-year-old actor, who has a history of kidney problems, was transported to a hospital, where he underwent emergency dialysis.

"I was foaming at the mouth, a lot of saliva and stuff… and I was twitching," he explained.

The former "Diff'rent Strokes" star said he also suffered a seizure last Friday shortly after he missed a step and fell down some stairs However, he seemed optimistic about the future.

"I've got another 40 years on this planet and I'm not going to worry about seizures," Coleman told "Inside Edition."
