Chicago to perform on skating special

BRIDGEPORT, Conn., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- The U.S. rock band Chicago is to be the musical guest on the upcoming TV special "Musselman's Applesauce presents Brian Boitano Skating Special."

The Grammy Award-winning group will be seen performing eight songs during the evening.

The program is to air Friday with Olympic gold-medalist Boitano skating and serving as co-host with his fellow figure skater Peggy Fleming, representatives for the show said in a news release Monday.

Among the special guest stars expected to appear on the special are skating stars Michael Weiss, Yuka Sato, Kimmie Meissner, Alissa Czisny, Steven Cousins, Elena Leonova, Andrei Khvalko, Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon.

The program was taped Dec. 12 at the Arena in Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Conn.
