ABC's news program gets name change

NEW YORK, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- ABC says its U.S. evening news broadcast will be called "ABC World News with Diane Sawyer," starting Monday.

The program was previously known as "ABC World News with Charles Gibson."

Gibson's last day as the broadcast's anchor was Friday.

Sawyer, former co-anchor of ABC's "Good Morning America," takes over the post of anchor from the retiring Gibson Monday.
