SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Nick Jonas & the Administration has signed on to be the house band at the upcoming Critics' Choice Movie Awards show in Los Angeles, organizers said.

"We could not be more excited to have Nick Jonas & the Administration on our stage at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards," Tom Calderone, VH1's president, said in a statement Wednesday. "We pride ourselves at VH1 on presenting high-energy performances by top artists during our live events. Nick and his band will certainly continue that tradition, revealing another side of Nick that his fans haven't seen yet."

Kristin Chenoweth is to preside over the prize presentation Jan. 15. It is to air live on VH1.
