Syfy orders more 'Stargate,' 'Sanctuary'

NEW YORK, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- The U.S. television network Syfy said Monday it has greenlit production on a second season of "Stargate Universe" and a third season of "Sanctuary."

The announcement was made by Mark Stern, executive vice president of original programming at Syfy and co-head of original programming at Universal Cable Productions.

The new seasons of "SGU" and "Sanctuary" are scheduled to begin production in Vancouver, B.C. this winter for planned fall 2010 premieres.
