LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- A Maryland judge has ordered former reality television star Jon Gosselin to refrain from granting interviews or making appearances without TLC's permission.

TMZ said the ruling was made Thursday in the network's breach-of-contract lawsuit against Gosselin, former co-star of "Jon & Kate Plus 8."

Gosselin, who is in the midst of a divorce from Kate, his wife of nearly 10 years, halted production of the show by claiming after five seasons TLC's ubiquitous film crews were detrimental to his eight children. The series has since ended.

In recent months, Gosselin has been openly critical of Kate and TLC. He has also frequently been photographed at parties, nightclubs and out on dates.

"The Court has validated our view that Mr. Gosselin has a valid, binding contract and that he has breached it repeatedly ... we look forward to the next phase of the litigation, which is to pursue our claim for damages resulting from Mr. Gosselin's numerous breaches," a representative for TLC told TMZ.
