NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- U.S. first lady Michelle Obama has topped Barbara Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2009."
Although the other personalities on the list were revealed earlier, Obama's name was not announced until Walters' special aired Wednesday night, CNN said.
The list also included Lady GaGa, Adam Lambert, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Tyler Perry, Kate Gosselin, Brett Favre, Jenny Sanford and the late Michael Jackson's three children -- Prince Michael Jr., Prince Michael II and Paris Michael Katherine -- who were grouped together as one on the list.
"The word is fascinating," Walters said in an interview with Fox News. "The word is not newsmaker; the word is not most important; the word is fascinating. Who are the people who, for one reason or another, fascinate us?"
