LONDON, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Model Katie Price has left the British version of the reality TV competition series "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here."
Price left the ITV program, which takes place in the Australian jungle, after only a week, the BBC reported.
"It's not about the money, it's not about winning for me -- I just don't want to be here anymore," she told the British broadcaster about her decision to quit the show. "I really miss my kids; I've done my challenges and people can see that I'm genuine."
The BBC said Price left the show after viewers repeatedly picked her to complete some of the competition's most daunting tasks.
"Someone else will have to do it -- I'm just not doing it any more," Price told her fellow contestants Sunday after she was chosen to take part in a task involving a snake pit. "I don't need to be here; I've done my bit. I'm not in it to win it -- it makes no odds to me career-wise if I win or lose."
Former "Strictly Come Dancing" star Camilla Dallerup quit the show earlier this season because she couldn't cope with the lack of food and sleep it required, the BBC said.
