NEW YORK, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- U.S. recording artist Chris Brown taped an episode of "106 & Park" in front of a live audience this week, BET said.
This marks the first time Brown, 20, has been interviewed in front of his fans since he was arrested last February for beating up his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna, the network said. Brown pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to probation, community service and counseling.
He taped the episode of "106 & Park" Tuesday. It is set to air on BET Thursday evening.
"It's not something you could take lightly and not something you could push under the rug ... it's a really serious situation and it's something that I regret and I wish I didn't do it," Brown said when asked about his
understanding of the extent of what happened.
Told that some people have questioned his sincerity in previous interviews, Brown replied: "I just feel like at the end of the day I'm human ... I can only tell you how I personally feel ... I can't make everybody love me, but I can just try ... and I can honestly say that I am sorry."
