DALLAS, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- "Red Cliff," John Woo's first Chinese film in more than 10 years, is to premiere on HDNet Movies two days ahead of its planned U.S. theatrical release.

The film is to air Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. EST. Encore presentations are scheduled for 10:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 1 a.m. Nov. 19.

"Legendary action-cinema master John Woo and international superstar Tony Leung reunite for the first time since the 1992 classic 'Hard Boiled' in 'Red Cliff,' an epic historical drama based on a legendary 208 A.D. battle that heralded the end of the Han Dynasty," HDNet said in a news release.
