Pam Grier lands 'Smallville' role

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Pam Grier has signed on to play evil Agent Amanda Waller on TV's "Smallville," sources told TVGuide.com.

Grier, 60, was most recently a cast member on the Showtime series "The L Word."

Her film credits include "Jackie Brown," "Escape from L.A.," "Foxy Brown," "Fort Apache the Bronx" and "Something Wicked This Way Comes."

TVGuide.com said the actress is expected to appear in multiple episodes of "Smallville," starting in January.
