Book alleges JFK took intern's virginity

NEW YORK, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Television actress Rue McClanahan's publicist said she is doing "great" after undergoing heart bypass surgery in New York.
McClanahan, 76, is best known for her roles on the TV comedies "Maude," "Mama's Family" and "The Golden Girls."
"She is doing absolutely great," her representative told "Access Hollywood" Friday. "She went for her physical the other day and her doctor didn't like what he found. As Rue put it, she needed 'a little work on her ticker.' She was in great spirits when she went in for surgery yesterday. She's resting in a hospital in New York and she'll probably be out in a week."
