LOS ANGELES, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Laurence Fishburne's Dr. Ray Langston is to be the first character to appear in all of the "CSI" shows for a three-part story arc, CBS said Friday.

Fishburne is to guest star on "CSI: Miami" Nov. 9 and "CSI: New York" Nov. 11. He will then wrap up his case at home in Las Vegas on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" Nov. 12, CBS said.

Langston is called to Miami when a severed leg discovered in the Everglades is determined to belong to a girl who vanished in Las Vegas a week earlier. The case then takes him to New York where a woman found hidden in a big rig following an accident turns out to be someone he interviewed in Miami related to his missing person's case, the network said in a release.
