LOS ANGELES, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- The son of the late TV pitchman Billy Mays said he has no problem if people across the United States dress up like his father for Halloween.

Billy Mays III is so accepting of Halloween costumes of his famed father that he is holding a Hallow-clean Contest in which individuals can send in their best Mays costume, People.com reported Saturday.

The top three costumes will win unspecified Billy Mays prizes, the pitchman's son said.

Billy Mays III, whose father died June 28 at age 50, is also honoring his father with the Web site Where's Billy Mays?

The son of the Home Shopping Network star said on the Web site his motivation for the Halloween contest is fostering a feeling of "positivity."

"All I'm trying to do is spread some positivity out there in the world," Mays III said on the site. "Couldn't hurt, could it?"
