LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin and her professional dance partner, Alec Mazo, were booted from "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday night.

Asked what she will take away from the experience, Coughlin said: "I don't know. I love this all so much. I guess I didn't show how much I loved it, but I really did. I'm sorry."

"I just want to tell you, I'm very proud of you," Mazo told her. "You did a great job. Don't worry; this isn't the end of it. You're going to be awesome."

Aaron Carter, Mark Dacascos, Melissa Joan Hart, Michael Irvin, Joanna Krupa, Mya, Kelly Osbourne, Donny Osmond and Louie Vito -- along with their professional dance partners -- are still in the running for the show's coveted mirrorball trophy.
