DETROIT, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Scenes for an HBO movie about assisted-suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian are being shot in the Detroit area, witnesses said.
Kevorkian, 81, was granted parole in 2007 after serving an eight-year prison sentence on second-degree murder charges for helping a terminally ill patient take his life.
A TV movie about him called "You Don't Know Jack" has brought the likes of Al Pacino and Danny Huston to local landmarks, such as the Old Wayne County building, this week, the Detroit Free Press reported Thursday.
The movie, scenes for which were also shot in New York, co-stars Susan Sarandon, John Goodman and Brenda Vaccaro. It is being directed by Barry Levinson and is expected to premiere next year, the newspaper said.
