LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. cable television network Showtime has announced plans for an exclusive animated Web series called "Dexter: Early Cuts."
The 12-part series, which will be told in four, one-to-two-minute chapters, is to premiere Oct. 25 on www.sho.com.
The network said "Dexter: Early Cuts" was conceived as a way to continue building on the mythology and critical mass that has grown around the television series, which is now in its fourth season.
"Dexter: Early Cuts" will give fans the chance to learn how vigilante serial killer Dexter's slaying techniques evolved. Dexter's protrayer, Michael C. Hall, does the voice over for the Web series, Showtime said.
