"They have amicably ended their relationship, but remain friends, supportive of each other's careers, and maintain the utmost respect for each other," a rep told NashvilleGab.

Pope and Dawson announced their engagement Feb. 10 after seven years of dating. The singer later told People Dawson surprised her by proposing in their living room with their dog Cuppy present.

"I had no idea. It was such a surprise," she told the magazine. "It was perfect, in our home that we love with our little son."

"We want to take our time with planning and enjoy being engaged," the star added at the time.

Pope previously told Taste of Country that Dawson has been "an amazing, amazing supporter" of hers for years. She came to fame after winning The Voice Season 3, and last released the EP Summer in June 2016.
