June 19 (UPI) -- South Korean girl group Nine Muses is making their comeback with the new song "Remember."

Remaining members Kyungri, Hyemi, Sojin and Keumjo released a music video Monday for the track, which appears on their new EP, Muses Diary Part 2: Identity.

Nine Muses, which originally consisted of nine members, promoted their new music at a media event in Seoul the same day. The group acknowledged the "seven year jinx," or trend of K-pop acts breaking up in their seventh year.

"Even though we're in our eighth year, I think we are working with a modest attitude, because I know that we are in a position that demands us to be diligent," Kyungri told reporters, according to Yonhap News Agency.

"Come to think of it, I think now is the moment for Nine Muses to make a fresh leap. Starting today I want to show that Nine Muses isn't dead," Hyemi added.

Before Identity, Nine Muses had last released the EP Lost in 2015. The group said they tried to incorporate more mature themes into their new album.

"If our previous activities centered on pure and fresh love, we tried to portray more convoluted and seasoned feelings of love in one's late 20s through our new EP," Kyungri shared, according to the Korea Herald.

"Since we are older than other fellow idol members, we may be able to convey deeper and seasoned feelings of love," the 26-year-old singer added.
