Beyonce bonds with daughter Blue Ivy on Memorial Day

May 30 (UPI) -- Beyoncé shared a sweet moment with daughter Blue Ivy on Memorial Day.

The pregnant 35-year-old singer posted a photo of herself holding 5-year-old Blue Ivy atop her baby bump after celebrating the holiday Monday.

Beyoncé's post, which she captioned with a smiley face and an American flag emoji, received over 2.1 million likes. The singer shares Blue Ivy with husband Jay Z, and announced in February that she and the rapper are expecting twins.

"We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes," she wrote at the time.

Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles, told Entertainment Tonight last week that the star is "doing great" and "ready to see her babies." People reported in April that Beyoncé and Jay Z will settle their family in California.

"They plan on raising their twins in Los Angeles," a source said. "It's their home base now, and this is where Blue goes to preschool. They're all very happy in L.A."

Beyoncé last released the album Lemonade in April 2016.
