May 23 (UPI) -- Country music star Jason Aldean is expecting a baby boy with wife Brittany Kerr, the couple said. The 40-year-old singer posted a "#genderreveal" video Monday on Instagram after announcing Kerr is pregnant with their first child.

"Today is the day..... whats it gonna be? boy or girl! #genderreveal," he captioned a photo of himself and Kerr holding blue and pink balloons.
Aldean, who already shares 14-year-old daughter Keeley and 9-year-old daughter Kendyl with ex-wife Jessica Aldean, followed up with a clip of the big reveal. The video shows his family popping balloons filled with blue confetti.
Aldean and Kerr, who married in March 2015, had announced their baby news May 8.
"Been hard to keep this secret but we couldn't be happier to add to our family. This year just gets better and better. #bunintheoven," the singer wrote at the time.
"This was the hardest secret we've ever had to keep. The journey for us has been full of many happy times & also many years... The biggest rollercoaster we have ever been on, without a doubt!" Kerr added.
Aldean last released the album They Don't Know in September.
