Hailee Steinfeld signs publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music

May 4 (UPI) -- Hailee Steinfeld announced signed a new worldwide publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Music, a division of Warner Music Group.

"I'm honored to join the many incredible talents who call Warner/Chappell home, and I know that this team will give me the support I need to express myself musically and continue to grow as a songwriter," the actress and singer said in a statement.

"Hailee is a creative whirlwind, whether it's in the recording studio, in film, or on stage. The entire Warner/Chappell team is thrilled to have her in the family, and we look forward to collaborating with Hailee to take her musical career to new heights," added Warner/Chappell Music Senior vice president and co-head of A&R Katie Vinten.

Steinfeld's music career blossomed last fall with the release of the single "Starving," with duo Grey, featuring Russian-German producer Zedd. The track reached platinum status in the United States and peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The 20-year-old's latest single, "Most Girls," which she co-wrote, was released in April.

Steinfeld began her acting career at the age of 14 when she starred in 2010's True Grit, which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She most recently starred in The Edge of Seventeen for which she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.

A rep for Steinfeld recently denied rumors that she was dating Justin Bieber despite the pair being spotted togther Monday after the 2017 Met Gala.
