April 13 (UPI) -- Mom-of-two Kelly Clarkson celebrated son Remy's first birthday this week.

The 34-year-old singer shared photos Wednesday of Remington Alexander, her son with husband Brandon Blackstock, with his camping-themed birthday cake and adorable new rocking horse.

"Happy 1st Birthday to our sweet little boy!! #RemyB #BlackstockCampgrounds #ILoveHim," she captioned a collage on Instagram.

Clarkson also shares daughter River Rose with Blackstock, and posted a video of the 2-year-old reacting to her first taste of Nutella over the weekend. She is also stepmom to her husband's two children from a previous relationship.

"I have never been more confident as a woman as I am as a mother. The amount of stuff I get done in a day is insane," the star told Entertainment Tonight in December. "I feel like I'm nailing it."

"We have a blended family. That's another level of trying to make it work and everyone feeling as equally loved and important, and then also just having a marriage and having a career," she added. "I am more confident now because of all these things my life entails."

Clarkson, who last released the album Piece by Piece in 2015, had shared similar sentiments in the December issue of Good Housekeeping. She told the magazine she's "never felt more empowered" than as a mom.

"I sound like such a tool, but becoming a mother has made me next-level confident," the singer said. "As a mom, you just don't have time, so you get straight to the point. I go to bed every night and the list of what I've accomplished is astounding."
