March 13 (UPI) -- Beyoncé made a surprise appearance Saturday with the help of mom Tina Knowles.
The 35-year-old singer stepped out to support the Alvin Ailey dancers and Knowles' mentorship program, Tina's Angels, following news she's pregnant and expecting twins.
"Backstage after the Alvin Ailey dancers performance it was magnificent. With my beautiful Tina's Angels and a few of the mentors. My very gracious daughter who met the girls and spent some time with them and made their day!" Knowles captioned a photo of the group on Instagram.
"The Alvin Ailey Dancers were spectacular!! My Angels , and the gorgeous Dancers And Beyonce' after the show," she added to another picture.
"When Beyoncé surprises you back stage!!! The Alvin Ailey Dancers are the most beautiful and Talented and gracious Human Beings. I was honored to meet them and they were so nice and patient to my girls!!!" she captioned a re-grammed video of the surprise.
Beyoncé announced in February that she's expecting twins with husband Jay Z. She and the 47-year-old rapper married in 2008 after several years of dating, and are already parents to 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
"We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes," the star wrote Feb. 1.
The "Formation" singer has kept busy since announcing her pregnancy, and attended the Los Angeles premiere of Beauty and the Beast this month. She later shared photos of herself and Blue Ivy in the green Gucci gowns they wore to the event.
