Trailer for 'Underground' Season 2 features new song by John Legend

Feb. 25 (UPI) -- WGN America has released a trailer for Season 2 of its historical drama Underground, featuring an original song from series executive producer John Legend.

The Grammy Award-winner's new track is called "In America."

The sophomore season of the show is to kick off March 8. It will also feature Beyoncé's single "Freedom."

Created and written by Misha Green and set in the 19th-century, American South, the series stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge, Jessica de Gouw, Alano Miller, Christopher Meloni, Amirah Vann and Marc Blucas.

Joining the ensemble this season are Aisha Hinds as Harriet Tubman and John Legend as Frederick Douglass. Additional guest stars include Bokeem Woodbine, Jasika Nicole, DeWanda Wise, Michael Trotter, Jesse Luken and Sadie Stratton.
