Blondie, Garbage announce summer U.S. tour

Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Blondie is set to hit the road once again for a summer North American tour that is being co-headlined by band Garbage.

Titled the Rage and Rapture Tour, Blondie and Garbage will begin their 22-city trek starting July 5 at The Mountain Winery in Saratoga before ending the tour on Aug. 12 at the Southside Ballroom in Dallas.

Tickets are set to go on sale Fed. 17 at 10 a.m. while a pre-sale is available for many of the tour dates through Ticketmaster using the password RAGEANDRAPTURE.

Exene Cervenka of punk-rock band X will join the groups for the first half of the tour while Deap Vally will make appearances during the latter half.

The Rage and Rapture Tour will come following the release of Blondie's upcoming album Pollinator which hits stores on May 5. Garbage's latest album Strange Little Birds released in June.
