John Legend, Metallica and Carrie Underwood to perform at the Grammys

John Legend, Metallica, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban are to perform at the 59th annual Grammy Awards show honoring excellence in music.

Additional performers will be announced shortly, organizers said.

The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS on Feb. 12.

James Corden is hosting the gala.
